Custom software vs SaaS — which fits us?
Custom software (single-tenant, built for one business): ₹8L–₹60L+ for the build, plus ₹3K–₹30K/month for hosting + ops. Right when your workflow is unique enough that no SaaS fits cleanly, or when you want code-and-data ownership and the ability to extend in-house. SaaS (subscription, shared infrastructure): right for standard workflows where compounding subscription cost over 5 years is acceptable.
When should we build custom vs use no-code?
No-code (Airtable + Make, Bubble, Retool, Notion) for ~70% of internal tools when your workflow is mostly CRUD + reporting and you have under 50 users. Move to custom when your workflow is the IP, you've outgrown no-code limits, or you need deep integrations + audit logging + compliance controls. We'll tell you when no-code is right.
How long does a custom platform take to build?
Internal tool MVP (single workflow, basic admin, 10–50 users): ₹8L–₹18L over 8–14 weeks. Growth-tier (multiple workflows, integrations, role-based access): ₹18L–₹40L over 4–6 months. Enterprise (multi-department, ERP integration, audit log, compliance): ₹40L–₹1Cr+ over 6–10 months.
Do you handle ERP / Tally / SAP integrations?
Yes — standard integrations: Tally, SAP B1, Oracle NetSuite, Zoho Books, BUSY, QuickBooks. Plus CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho), payment (Razorpay, Stripe), and accounting + GST + e-way bill. Each adds ₹1L–₹5L depending on complexity.
Will I own the source code?
Yes — every build is work-for-hire with 100% source code, DB schema, design assets, CI/CD config transferred to your private GitHub or Bitbucket. You can self-host, switch vendors, or licence onward.
What about long-term maintenance and updates?
Optional AMC retainer at 15–20% of build cost annually. Covers bug fixes, security patches, dependency updates, OS-version updates, and a backlog of small roadmap features. Plus the option of a dedicated retainer team for major v1.1, v1.2 builds.
